Paper one for ADV. Comp.
Many people come in and out of your life but
they are not there just to either make you happy or do wrong towards you they
are the to make you who you are. No matter if you notice it or not that person
no matter how long they were there for they changed you or made you think about
something different. Every person that has come and go in my life I’ve tried to
take in the lesson they are going to teach me. Since the day I was born
my mother has molded me into the women i am today. My mom has impacted my life
the most because she has always been here for me and has done whatever it takes
to take care of me.
Having both of my parents was great until everything went down hill and we found out my dad cheated on my mom. I guess you can say me and my dad never really got along so when they decided to get divorce I wasn't that sad depressed kid I was actually happy and ready to move on at the age of 10. My dad did so wrong toward my sister, my mom, and me that it give me the drive everyday to be better than him and be successful. Every dream my dad had he gave up on it and didn't do his duty as a parent to rise to daughters who needed there dad. My mom ever night would hold us as we cried wondering why we weren't important enough for our dad to be in our life. My mom had to be both the loving mother to us and also the strict dad to me and my sister. To this day he is not in our life and does as he pleased but my sister and i are strong women now and know it has nothing to do with us on why he’s not around it has everything do with him. All the wrong my dad did to us, my mom was strong and everyday pushed use to be better.
The lesson we were suppose to learn from my dad my mom sat us down and taught us but the most important one she taught us was to get a good education. Neither one of my parents went to a big college so from the day we were born we understood the value of a dollar and with out a good education we would work a lot hard to obtain dollars. I can remember even when I was little my mom would push our education and say, you are going to college." When she said it wasn't a question it as a demand that I knew we had to follow. After a while I kind of started to say it to my self and believe it, it was like motivation for me. Saying it for soo long, now as upcoming student of CSU,Long Beach I can say I do go to college. To have that one person
that has always believed in you be proud of you is a feeling you have to
experience on your own. The way my mom motivated me showed me she how much she
really loved me.
Even though she was hard on me when it came to getting a good education the love she has also prevailed. Love is something that everyone needs no matter if they no it or not. The love my mom gave to me and my sister poured out of her. We always knew we were loved with a mom like mine. Fact that my mom loved us so hard is why I feel i love jus as hard. When I love I put my whole heart into it and never do anything half ass, excuse me. To have someone make me feel how my mom did to me and my sister everyday showed that no matter what she was going through or what we did, didn’t effect how she felt about use. My mom will always and forever impact my life and she has truly made me who I am to, and that is Kirstin Smith.
There’s always that one person in your life you could never live without and make great by the words they speak to you. My mother is a strong, beautiful, loving woman who I know without her I would be nothing. So for how many people come in and out of your life for however long there going to be there watch for the lesson they teach you and hold on to it for it will change your life.
